Abstract Of Title
SUMMARY ÇOLAK, Esma Yasemin, A Study About The Miracle İn The Holy Quran, Doctoral Thesis, Supervisor; Prof. Dr. Salih Akdemir, 231 page, This research about miracles in the Holy Quran consists of three main parts. In the first part, we discuss the subject from the conceptual point of view. We also examine the other words related to miracle. Besides, we evaluate nature and miracle from the determinist and indeterminist point of view. We come out the general characteristics of the prophet Mohammed's period. In the second part, we study about the general characteristics of the prophet Mohammed's period, the holy miracles in the Quran attributed to the Prophet Mohammed and his other miracles. We evaluate not only the answers to people who desire miracle, but also the people who desire miracle. We study the Quran as the only holy miracle which is mental and literary. We also mention the scientific verse of the Quran. In the third part, we point out the role of symbolic expressions and archetypes to understand miracle. We also indicate the close relationship between prayer and miracle and the positive role of prayer to the medical treatment and theraphy. With the symbolic and psychological point of view which we have discussed above, we try to understand an interpret the message of miracle for modern people. We also evaluate the extraordinary events happening in daily life in the light of parapsychology.
