Abstract Of Title
In this study, the information is given about the Ibâzî scholar Muhammad b. Yusuf Itfiyyiṣ's life, works, scientific personality and the sect he belonged; then the author's book Teysiru't-Tafsir was introduced and evaluated in various ways. Despite the Sunni, Shi'i, and Mu'tazila interpretations of the Qur'an as well as the Ibâzî interpretation, the works are rather insufficient on the Ibâzî interpretation of the Qur'an in our country. We believe that our work will partially eliminate this defficiency. In our study, Itfiyyiṣ has been labelled as the greatest scholar "Qutb al-Eimme" by Ibâzîs. In order to better reflect his viewpoint for the Qur'an, Teysiru't-Tafsir which is the last comment of Itfiyyiṣ who wrote three interpretations of the Qur'an during his long life, is discussed. At the end of our study, we found that the author gave a lot of importance to the narrations that we might say unnecessary and he extended his jurisprudential and philological analyzes exceeding the book of tafsir from time to time and he interpreted the verses on the faith under the influence of the sect, he spoke well about the Sahabas contrary to popular belief in the society. We have also seen tha the writer made extreme criticism and the words like defamation for the Mu'tazila, and Shia despite that he was more sensitive and constructive in criticizing the Sunni tradition.
