Abstract Of Title

The text ofKarakhanid Turkish Interlinear Koran Translation, we have been studied has copied by Muhammad ibn Haji Dawlatshah ofShirazin 734/A.C. 1333-1334 and it has been preserved in the Museum for Turkish and Islamic Works (Türk ve İslâm Eserleri Müzesi), No. 73. The language of translation is Karakhanid Turkish, but there are also parts in Khorazm Turkish (from 35v/l=002/273 to 55v/l= 003/179). My thesis consists of introduction, text, Turkish index, bibliography and Turkish and English abstracts. In the introduction of our research, types of translation of Koran, researches on the manuscript, description of manuscript and the language of the text. Also abbreviations, abbreviations of books and journals, and the transcription system are given in this part. Chapter of Text consists ofTIEM 73 1 v-235v/2 and we make a transcription of Turkish text written in Arabic alphabet. We have numbered each verses of the Koran according to the distinction used in other copies of Koran and we have ordered to compare our text with other copies of Koran, beside the numbers of sheets and lines. The spelling errors have been corrected by means of Arabian Koran text. We indicated the spelling errors of Turkish text in the footnotes. We tried to explain the words and phrases, which are rarely used in the works of the period or which does not exist in the works and used firstly in our text. A Grammatical Turkish follows the Text. Also we included the proper nouns and Arabic phrases into the Index. At the end of the thesis, there is a bibliography.
