Abstract Of Title

The purpose of this research is to study; what law/shariah means according to the holy books and their traditional interpretations, the content of Biblical Law and its provisions' relevance in between, to historical circumstances and to the provisions stated in Koran. In the first chapter of the research; it is studied that law's meaning and importance, its scope, how it has been preserved, its jurisdiction according to the holy texts of Judaism and Christianity and how these issues are reflected in Koran. In the second chapter; the provisions in the Law Book-Torah are classified according to their subjects and analyzed from the historical view and comperatively with the provisions in Koran. In the last chapter; how New Testament played role in Torah's law and traditional religious life of Jews and on which issues Christians break from the law are elaborated. The subjects of this research are identified, classified, analyzed and compared. Semantic method is used in this research. Depending on the results of this research; Bible contains a single law that is referred to Moses (peace be upon him) and Jesus (peace be upon him) fulfilled that law. Judaism that does not accept this fulfillment, has been built upon a lasting testament theology which is connected to Torah law. Despite this infinity issue, a major part of Torah law whose relation to historical conditions such as Israelists' history and ancient time's practices is put forth in this research, is not implemented by Jews on the grounds of inappropriate conditions. On the side of Christianity, during the process of break from Judaism, New Testament theology was developed, according to this theology; Jesus' complementary mission was meant to reverse Torah's provisions in civil and ceremonial areas, while the voided ceremonial area being filled up by the practices of the church, civil area was left on the hands of human regulations. Koran has revived Abraham's (peace be upon him) shariah that is efficient in Koran geography as complete Islam by overthrowing those theologies which do not aim to be subject to the rules in holy books in reality and which especially in practice even go too far to falsify them (holy books).
