Abstract Of Title

This thesis entitled ?Holy Quran and aesthetic? entails Introduction, Three Developing sections and Conclusion.In the introduction section, the definition of aesthetic, its perception within western cultures and in the history of Turkish thought are covered.In the First developing section, terms regarding ?aesthetic? in Holy Quran are investigated.In the Second developing section, the extent of aesthetic in Holy Quran is examined.In the third developing section, the attribute of aesthetic in Holy Quran inquired, and these attributes are stated as perfection, harmony, symmetry, neutral path and ecological balance.At the end of this research, it is observed that Holy Quran contains aesthetic terms and values, and also that it considers aesthetics as a life style. Further, it is seen that Qur?an indicates, the ?aesthetic subject? may take several advantages of the object that appeals to his aesthetic sense.It is noticed that the first muslim intellectuals were Farabi and Gazali who as pioneers first used the terms ?aesthetical capability?, ?the aesthetical vividity and expression? within the context of aethetics, in the Islamic World.One of the results of this research is that according to the Holy Quran the sense of beauty is inborn. The source of this sense is ?Allah?.
