“Relization levels of the education goals for the summer Qur'anic courses: An area research in the example of Sivas”

Abstract Of Title

The activity of reading, writing and understanding of the Qur'anic verses started from the very beginning. Turks have attached great importance to reciting the Qur'an and its education since they became Muslims, so they have established independent schools and developed science branches relating to these activities. The activity of instructing the Qur'an that has lasted so far without interruption and teaching religious information have been carried out in line with the laws and instructions concerning the Qur'anic courses and summer Qur'anic courses affiliated to the Directorate of Religious Affairs.The Directorate, which arranged the informal education according to the recent developments and data of the contemporary education, has started the application program for two years depending on the understanding of frame-flexible curriculum. In this study taking Sivas an example, It has been researched the features of the new program, realization levels of the determined aims of education and the situation of meeting students' expectations. It is thought that this study can make contributions to the activities of program development.In the First Part of the thesis the historical development of the Qur'anic education, the Qur'anic courses in the republican era and today's Qur'anic courses are concentrated on. In the Second Part, interpreting the results of the public survey and success test relating to the personal features of the course students and their expectations, it is tried to determine how the course curriculum was met in the application process and which aspects are running wrong. In the Third Part some theoretical information is given about the features of the New Summer Qur'anic Courses curriculum, the problems met during the application and the nature of the system of exchange rate. The thesis terminates with the part of conclusions and suggestions.Key words: Summer Qur'amc Courses, curnculum, realization levels of goals, system of exchange rate, frame-flexible program
