Semantic Analysis of the word of “A-K-L” in Holy Qur’an ( ع ق ل ) and A Com-parison With the Consciousness Approach That Occured in Islamic Thought
It indicates in the Holy Qur'an, that a human is created with the liability of being both good and bad. However, Allah has not left manking confused and dist-raught between these two contrasting abilities. Allah has given them mind with in-telligence and wisdom. In the Holy Qur'an, Allah has always encourage mankind to use their mind by providing them with divine truths so that it may helps them. While those who don’t use their minds in the right way are being reviled by Allah The Almighty, those who use their minds in the right way- who use their gifts ac-cordingly- are being praised by the Almighty. As there are verses in the Holy Qur'an which encourages people to use their minds accordingly, there are also ver-ses which indicates that the process of using the mind is controlled by the heart. Because heart is like an upstream which leads person to actual knowledge. righte-rious heart and a good mind are concepts that understood the existance of man only by his apparent menifestations. They are the concepts that exists but have no concret signs. Details will be provided in this study, about an attribute which if humans can use it in a right way will gain them qualifications that will set them apart from the other living things- qualifications that will makes them responsible to their god, qualifications that will shows a direction to them providing them with a character that will lead them to progress and salvation. Details will be prvided about the meaning of such characteristic and its important in the development of human mind. This work will also summerize the approach of various field of sci-ence to human mind.
