Abstract Of Title

Mala’ (the chiefs of the disbelievers) is a term in the Holy Quran. It refers to the leading people in the society in terms of Knowledge, strength, power, authority and proximity to the leader. Mala’ is dominant over society with these characteristics and gives direction to the community. They maintain their position by defending the old and by opposing the new. They regard the prophets as as the biggest enemy against the reputation and position they gained. That is why they entered into struggle with the prophets. In this struggle they see the society as the biggest supporter whom they never dignify and never recognize their freedom. In this article we try to search for mele in terms of their relation with prophets and their effects on the society. (There is no connection between the mala’ *the Qur’anic concept+ and the malla’ [the religious teachers in the eastern Turkey.])
