“The Writing Down of the Qur’an”

Abstract Of Title
The Qur'an was completely written down during the Prophet Muhammad's
lifetime. Since the Prophet was not able to read and write,
he asked the seribes to write down the revelations. There are a number
of traditions and historical evidences showing that the Holy Qur'an
was written down during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad. In this
article, we try to examine the following issues: recording of revelations
in the periods of Mecca and Medina and the proving evidences that
are derived from hadith and historical sources and the ways how the
written revelations was protected in Mecca and Medina.
