Abstract Of Title

The Qur'an has played key role since its revelation. The target of
the Qur'an i.s human being. Most of the people, who witnessed the revelation,
believed and subınitted into Qur'an. Many others did not believe
for various reasons and ascribed it certain attributes. With its names
and attributes, the Qur'an demonstrates its affirmative attributes,
on the other hand, it informs of its negatory attributes while responding
to its opponent's descriptions. Thus, the Qur'an provides the answers
for tl;ıe question: "what is the Qur'an and what not?" The Qur'an
proves its self-authenticity with its names and attributes. Because the
Qur'an is the revelation from Allah, some of its names coincide with
al-Asma al-Husna (the most beautiful names of Allah) like al-Haqq,
al-Hakim, al-Aziz, al-Ali, al-Muhayrnin. Its certain names are also the
same as the attributes of the Prophet Muhamrnad like al-Imam, al-Bashir,
al-Nazir, al-Khayr, al-Rahmah, al-Tayyib, al-Arabi, al-Bayyinah.
Some names of the Qur'an such as al-Kitap, al-Zikr, al-Furqan are
comman with are the former Sacred Books. Some attributes of the
Qur'an describing the nature like al-Ayat, Ayat al-Allah attract attention.
The fact that most of the names and attributes of the Qur'an exist
in the beginning of the Qur'anic chapters (surahs) serves to convey i ts
message to the readers.
