“The Role of the Qur’an in Constructing Religiosity”

Abstract Of Title
The last two centuries have witnessed great achievements and advances
in endeavours for translations of the Qur'an. Today The
Qur'an's translations are probably the best-selling books, from all Islamic
publications in the whole world. This is also the reality in Turkey.
However, the results from surveys indicate that the translations of
the Qur'an are not read enough. Various reasons have been suggested
to explain this. Presumably the most important explanation is that the
readers of the translations are not very familiar with the language of
the Word of God as well as of its style, method of bandiing subjects
and content. This paper attempts to discuss all these issues and will try to explain the nature of translations and i ts dilierence from the Qur' an
and offer some suggestions to help people readtranslations of the
Qur'an.
