Abstract Of Title
This artide provides a critique of a religious current which has gained some
popularity in different parts of the Islamic world -the current which mnsiders the
Qur'an to be the unique source of religious rulings. In the first part of the artide, I
shall investigate the possible origins of this trend In the history of Islamic thought
as well as its major representatives and their views and focus in the semnd part on
whether this trend ls mnsistent or not in its major arguments.
