“A Semantical and Analytical Approach to the Root of “alMaraz” and Its Derivatives in the Qur’an”

Abstract Of Title
In this study, the infinitive of “al-maraz” and its derivates which are used in the
Qur’an investigated from the analytic and semantic point of view. Firsly, it is dwelt on
the etymological root of the word and its meanings at the general dictionaries. Secondly
considering the works like that “al-wucuh and al-nazâir” it is studied in a diachronic
perspective according to the usages of the word’s and its derivatives’ various meanings/
aspect in the Qur’anic lexicons. Then, the nouns and the verbs derived from this infinitive
and cited in the Qur’an have been examined by taking into account where they are used.
