Abstract Of Title
Throughout history, man has been the most important addressee of the divine address.
The divine address which started with Adam reminded people of what to do and what not to do.
Right and wrong, good and evil, the true path and the evil path have always been told people by
Allah because man needs leading even though he is equipped with the blessing of intellect. The
divine calling reminded prophets and their contemporaries of the fact that they were not created
in vain, that they had liabilities. The limits and contents of these liabilities were announced by
prophets and holy books in every age.
In this work, singular and plural forms of address in Quran, especially the addresses
contained in Müddessir Sura towards the prophet and other addressees will be analyzed. Our
goal in this work is to find out how Allah addresses people depending on the status of societies
by analyzing the forms of address in Quran. It is also our goal to find out different forms of
address by Allah towards the prophet, the believers and polytheists by a special analysis of
Müddessir Sura
