Abstract Of Title

The Worth of the World in the Perspective of the Qur?an? Dissertation, Advisor: Prof Dr. İdris ŞENGÜL. 231+5 pages.Allah has created the World and assets over it perfectly. Every thing over the World indicates his existence, oneness, name and attributions. From this point The World has a big importance because of itself.The World has not involved any evil in itself. The evil in the World takes place through behaviors of human being. Allah has created The World and the hereafter for the good of Muslims. It is not true to leave benefactions of worldly life for hereafter happiness, because Allah has created all benefactions for profiting Muslims.In the beginning of the study we examined the worth of the world according to Jewish, Christians, Muslims and non- believers to make the subject to be understood better.In the first chapter, after examining the concepts of ?ad-dunya? and ?al-hayat? we explained the meaning of `al-hayatu?d-dunya?. We examined the praiseworthiness of the worldly life itself and denigrating of it. We also, examined the worth of the worldly life according to Sufis.In the second chapter, we examined the worth of the worldly life in relation of it?s being the place of reflection God?s names and attributions. It is also examined the meanings of ?verse? and ?cosmic verses? roles in making Allah being known.In third chapter, we examined the worth of the world in relation of its being preparation for hereafter life. We also examined the worth of goods for its importance in practicing some kind of religious obligation relating to wealth.In the end of the study we summarized the thesis and put the bibliography at the end.
