Abstract Of Title

Allah's book is the most elequent, a book which is revealed in a clear Arabic Language. It has been mainly able to affect Arabic and Islamic Literature. This research tried to show how to use the verses, the style and the structures of the Quran in Arabic literature in particular and Islamic literature in general. This is in addition to the benefit of the use of the "Quranic Quotation" in literature since it gives strength of style and increase of meaning. This happened not only in one literary era, but in many Islamic eras to date. This research dealt with too many examples used the verses and the style of the "Quranic Quotation". Furthermore, it identified many authors, writers and poets who used the Quran in their literature. Thus, we have been able to include all the different Islamic ages to this day. The use of Qur'anic poetry and prose verses are widely seen in Arabic literature. In this study, the excerpted verses had been studied on the second Abbasid and Andalusian period (Hijri 4th and 8th centuries). In these centuries the diversity of literary works, especially the use of excerpt in the prose, shows the advancement in literature. Considering that in this period sermons in the religious fields became popular and new literary works had emerged in literature. The most important of these works is the art of Makamat, which is a narrative style. In the books written in Makamat style, using of various Qur'anic verses had become common and popular. In this period, the famous literary writers enriched the Arabic literature. The example of Makamât writers can be Hemezânî, Harîrî, Zemahşerî. İbnu'l- Esir, İbn Nübâte, İbnu'l- Cevzî and, İbnu'l- Verdî are among famous writers in this century. In this study, we have shown many examples of quotation (Iktibas) from the works written in this period and we have explained the importance of the use of this art in the prose in terms of literature and rhetoric. In the letters of the Umayyad Caliphs and their commandments (which are known as Tevkiat) the usage of quotation ( Iktibas) had been seen. Quotation (Iktibas) in the letters were used to describe the aim or to express threats. There are many examples of excerpt or Iktibas in Arabic literature - both in prose and in poetry. In addition to the excerpt used in the prose in this period, we also examined the examples of the excerpt used in modern prose. Then in the field of poetry it was studied, too. In this section, we studied the literary period beginning with the Quran and ending with the Abbasid period. As our study is limited, it is not possible to address all the examples of the old period poetry. Then, some samples of quotation from Quran were mentioned. Finally, we touched on the examples of the non-Arabs in the literature. In fact the aim was to demonstrate universality of Quran, the continuity of literary laconic on Arabs and other nations. Between the 4th and 8th centuries, excerpt was intensely used in prose. The reason for this is that they are influenced by the Quran which enriches their culture and gives them a modest style. Also the authors of this period were in great effort to enrich their literature. Nowadays, when we examine the use of excerpt, we see that it carries religious sense like advice and guidance. Sometimes we see that it is isolated from the religious meaning in order to reach literary maturity. It is possible to see this in Makamat style works. Sometimes the author has to quote a piece from a verse to harmonize the rhyme. In this period, Tevkiat (Deduction) is used for different purposes comparing to iktibas (quotation) . It is used to beautify the word and style or to express the purpose in a nutshell. It can also carry a political meaning that aims to express its intention in a conservative way.
