Abstract Of Title

In this study the critical aspect of the Quran and the criticisms which are addressed to Muslim are focused on. However, to clarify the topic and to have an appropriate comparison the criticisms which are addressed to Polytheists, the People of the Book, and Hypocrites are also referred. Firstly, general and personal criticisms are handled. Their relations with the circumstances of the time when the criticisms are revealed, and the reason for revelation are carefully examined. Then the style of the criticism in the Quran is surveyed. Lastly, this study is completed with exhibiting the criticisms which are especially addressed to four movements. This study consists of four chapters. In the first chapter, preparatory information is given; such as the subject of the study, its goals, and its importance. In the second chapter, a general meaning of concept of the meaning of criticism and the critical aspect of the Quran is handled. Also, the subject is analysed in different perspectives; such as etymological analysis of the word criticism, the essential character of criticism, its principals and its style. In the third chapter, the people who are addressed in the criticisms are studied. In this chapter the subject of criticism is handled in two categories; introvert and extrovert. The criticisms which are addressed to hypocrites, polytheists and the people of the book are in one category. This is because these people are not from theMuslim community. The criticisms which are addressed to all Muslims, including the prophet (peace be upon him) are in the other category. In the fourth (final) chapter the conclusions of this study are given.
