MUSTAFA KARTAL

Abstract Of Title

This study is invastigate the work of İbn Jarîr al-Tabari, who is one of the first people recognized in Tafseer, Jami' al-Bayan an Ta'weel Ay al-Qur'an, in the point of Arabic and its gramer. It is an alliance that the work, which is generally become famous as a riwayah tafseer, hasn't got any lackness from the other dirayah tafseers quantitatively and qualitatively of all researchers working on Jami' al-Bayan. One of the cornerstones of the dirayah in al-Tabari's interpretation is the data of the Arabic language. al-Tabari considers the Holy Quran as an compellation that be revealed with the most lucid Arabic. So, according to al-Tabari in order to understand this compellation, the interlocutor needs to be in complete harmony with the language he knows and speaks. From this point of view, Tabari shaped his exegesis in line with the data of Arabic within the boundaries of riwayah. Therefore, in this commentary, the meaning and structure characteristics of the mufrad words, the meanings attributed to the tarkeebs and the analysis of i'raab hold a serious amount. Tabari give wide coverage to the opinions and disputes of the previous linguists on the mentioned subjects, evaluate their views with their proofs and make choices by specifying the reasons for them. Our thesis is formed around the information and explanations given by Taberî on the mentioned subjects. Our study consists of three parts. In the first part, the understanding of the Qur'anic language, which forms the basis of his language preferences, is analyzed. In the second part, the analysis of Tabari about Ilm al-Sarf is examined. In the third part, some of his ideas about Ilm al-Nahv are discussed. Throughout the study, the notion of the Qur'anic language that Taberî has shaped around his own Qur'an concept and the reflections of the notion on his explanations about Ilm al-Sarf and Ilm al-Nahv are put forward.
