“ON THE TRANSLATION OF TA’WILAT AL-QUR’AN”

Abstract Of Title
One oftwo books of Maturidi that has survived until today is Tawilat al-Quran, which is commentary of Quran. To translate of this book into Turkish is very important. Because both it has been easier for the book to reach large audiences who do not speak Arabic,and has been possible to learn the Maturidi’s ideas from his own book. Additionally, the translation of classical books about religious sciences will contribute positively to our life of idea and science. However,the level of this contribution is also directly proportional to the quality of translation. Thus, in translation many factor are effective such as features of source and target languagesand translator’s perspective and scientific field, which the text is related and cultural features of language. This situation makes it difficult the translation from language to another and it causes to occur some mistakes. It is seen also, where it occurs some mistake that it needs to reform in the translation of Tawilat al-Quran such as translation mistakes andsupplementary that was added the text and misreading of person names and material mistakes and sections that untranslated and mistakes ininvestigation and extraction. Wehope that this mistakes to consider and to reform by reviewing the translation in the next editions of Tawilat al-Quran.
